Resumen
Motion of bacteria and even synthetic microswimmers can be affected by thermal fluctuations and external fields (magnetic, electric fields, and flow of fluids). In this talk, I summarize some theoretical and computational results regarding the effect of linear flow fields, magnetic fields, and thermal fluctuations, on the diffusion of those swimmers modeled as spherical active (self-propelled) particles moving in two and three dimensions. Finally, the effect of confinement (rigid walls and neglecting
hydrodynamic interactions) on the diffusion of self-propelled particles will be also discussed.
